Sunday best

I'm avoiding the camera at all cost!! I look tired and really fat, yes I just had a baby but seriously I don't look like myself! Sunday was our first outing as a family and I wanted a picture of us in our Sunday best. Especially of Lucy wearing the dress I made her!

play time

I have been trying to get Lucy on a schedule so when I return to work I wont have to many sleep less nights. So to help keep her up during the evening I broke out her play mat. At first she got all excited then I think she got overwhelmed with all the things she could look at. It didn't last long but I know she will love it when she gets just a little older. I guess for right now looking at the walls and ceiling is enough for her.

Bath Time

I have never given a newborn a bath before, so I had Grandma Ricks help me while she was here. What a blessing it was to have her help. Not only with baths but caring for Lucy so I could get some sleep. Yesterday was Lucy and I first day on our own. I would like to think we managed very well! For the first time alone I gave Lucy a bath. She did really well! And I didn't get any soap in her eyes (my worst fear). The only downer, she pooped in her bath mat/seat right away. Made for a messy but eventually clean bath. Thanks Aunt Summer for the cute outfit!

Welcome, welcome!

We are excited to announce the arrival of Lucy Ann Ricks! Born 3/18/10 weighing 6 pounds 13 ounces and 18.5 inches long. We were released from the hospital yesterday, both baby and mom are doing wonderful! (more details to come when I get some time)

Yep another dress!

I couldnt help myself! The fabric was on sale and I need something to keep my mind busy! Im going nuts waiting for Lucy to get here!
