Before and now.....

Before....

During....

After???
I really worry about how many of my chins will stick around after I have Lucy. I was very active before I got pregnant, running at least 2-3 miles 5-6 days a week. Where as now days I have a hard time just getting up the steps from the basement! I realize that I am carrying an extra 30 pounds but I really am looking forward to getting back to the way I looked and being able to wear all the cute (size 4) clothing I have in my closet. I hope that by my birthday (4/23) I will be pretty close to my regular size, granted Lucy comes first of March. I cant wait to go shopping for clothing again...feels like its been ages since I felt "cute".

Finished!!

Here it is- the finished product!! I cant tell you what a relief it is to have it completed! Now everything is ready do go in Lucy's room! I wish everyone could see the room in person- I dont think the pictures do it justice. I have also made a blanket and matching burp cloth with an embroidery edge! I plan on making a couple more blankets and burp cloths while I look for the perfect dress pattern for her blessing.

Crib Bedding

If you have been flowing my baby blog I am sure you have seen my many post on bedding for the crib. If not here is the low down. Crib bedding is expensive! And the two bedding sets that I feel in love with cost anywhere from $1900 to $600! Obviously thats a no! (Who has that kind of money for crib bedding!) The more common bedding that you find in most baby stores still range from $120 and up. My solution to the problem...make my own! So here is what I have done so far!! Its been a struggle getting the borrowed sewing machine to work but no more worries now! I got a sewing machine from Mom and Dad for my birthday(a little early) but its wonderful!! I still have the bumper to finish but hope to have it completed by the end of the week! I will post pictures once everything is done!
If anyone has a baby dress pattern that I could barrow let me know. I am trying to find a cute dress to make for the blessing.

Nursery update!!

Sterling has been working over time to get all the painting done and its finally done!! The crib is assembled, in place with mattress, waiting for bedding. Rocking chair, rug, night stand with lamp- check. Dresser painted, waiting to be stuffed (note stuffed) with clothing! And the final decor. My sister made the cute blocks as a Christmas gift!! Aren't they the cutes thing you ever did see!! I am so excited!! The room is finally coming together, just in time too. I have started "nesting". I fell like everything needs an over haul cleaning, except for Lucy's room. I know that room is sparkling clean...now I just need the rest of the house to be the same. Maybe I can convince Sterling to hire a maid to clean the bathroom??? and wash the hardwood floors by hand. (something I am not really looking forward to, being so pregnant and all!)

Christmas!!

Sterling and I drove up to my parents place for Christmas this year! Our first Christmas together and in the comfort of home....nothing like it! Especially when your 7 months pregnant and feel like you always need a vacation! We spent most of our time enjoying the comforts of home and all the delicious home cooked meals and deserts. We made a trip out to Chelan to go shopping at Apple Annie's (a famous antique store) Sterling made some great finds how ever I came up empty handed. No worries Santa (aka Sterling) didn't let me down!! Yep that is right, my wonderful hubby gave me a kitchen Aid mixer!!
After Christmas we made the road trip home to Utah for Nikki's wedding! On Tuesday Nikki was sealed to Brandon in the Salt Lake Temple. The bride was a gorgeous and the wedding was perfect! We are so happy for them and wish them the best!
What a blessing it was to be able to be with both sides of the family!
