Garden

Last night Sterling sent me on a trip to the local Lowe's to get some bags for the shop vac. Upon arrival I couldn't help but check out all the flowers and plants they have. I have always wanted a garden to watch grow and now that Sterling and I are getting married that means I will have a whole back yard to grow things in! Unfortunately this year there was no desire to clear out the jungle of a yard and try to grow a vegetable garden (if you knew what it looked like you would understand). And we still need to get the cat population under control, they killed a plant from Sterling's dad that I had planted out by the house! Dang cats! So as I was at Lowe's I got the brilliant idea to grow a tomato and sweet pea plant in a large pot so I can still have some kind of a garden. Over $50 later this is what it looks like! I am really excited for the sweet peas, those are my favorite!!

Never ever forget this night!!

Last night Sterling surprised me with the best surprise EVER!! See I normally go jogging after work with my friend Becca. But last night I didn’t want to get all gross and rush to see Dawna for the wedding cake. So I decided I would take the little time I had and run to the craft store down the street from Sterling place. Sterling called me while I was shopping around and asked if I wanted to go up the canyon while it was still light, I agreed with the condition that we would still make it to the appointment on time! So I get to his place and he asks me to go down stairs in the basement and wait till he is ready for me to come up. I knew something was up at that point. So I waited patiently downstairs while he wrestled things around and then I got the ok to come up but wasn’t allowed to look in the fridge or the back seat of my car. So after getting in the car WITHOUT looking in the backseat, we drove up the canyon. He pulled off the road and asked me to walk in front of him through this meadow/ what Utah calls a forest. After some time he asks me to stop and turn around. I turn around to find a long stem red rose! Then he grabs my hand and walks me to the next point and there’s another red rose! He asks me what I think these red roses represent and he tells me that one represents my past, the other my present then he gets down on one knee and pulls another rose out from behind his back and says this rose represents our future together and asks me to marry him!! It was prefect! And he unties the ring from the rose and that’s when I see the ring for the first time! It was such a special moment! One I will NEVER EVER forget! I love u Sterling!

Weekend with Jeanie!

Saturday I had the pleasure of spending the day with Jeanie, Sterling's mother! She drove all the way up here with some of her friends just to spend the weekend with ME!! I was so excited and a little nervous meeting her for the first time, come on who isn't nervous! But that nervous feeling quickly dissolved when I meet her. Such a warm loving person! We spent all day Saturday looking for centerpiece flowers and I was able to show her the Sleepy Ridge club house where Sterling and I will be getting married! Later that night Sterling took us out to eat and we rented a movie and rested at the house. Sunday we all went to church and then had desert with the family friends that she drove up here with. What a great bunch! I had so much fun this weekend! I am really looking forward to October when I will hopefully be able to meet the other family members for the blessing of little Max!
